Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism visited and worked at the Vietnamese Institute for Musicology
|
On the afternoon of July 14, 2010, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Mr. Hoàng Tuấn Anh paid a working visit to the Vietnamese Institute for Musicology. He was warmly welcome by the Directorate of Vietnam National Academy of Music, leaders and all staffs of the Vietnamese Institute for Musicology.
Minister visited the Institute’s material facilities and the Showroom of Vietnamese musical instruments, enjoyed the performance presented by artists of the Production and Propagation Center of Vietnamese music. He visited the tape store that archives many precious musical documentations of the country, performance stages, and studio of the Institute. Director of the Vietnamese Institute for Musicology, Assoc. Prof. – Dr. Lê Văn Toàn at the meeting reported to Minister about the activity situation, the given objectives in the times to come, and real situation on the material facilities of the Vietnamese Institute for Musicology. At present, the Institute’s building has come into operation for three years, however, equipments of the performance stage and studio have not been equipped yet.
Minister Hoàng Tuấn Anh was very glad before the activity property of the Institute. One of the most concerning issues raised by Minister is the human resources. The Institute’s staffs must improve their standard in order that they can operate well the modern equipments invested by Vietnamese government. In addition to musical researches at home, the Vietnamese Institute for Musicology must cooperate to research music of neighbor and ASEAN countries. According to Minister’s direction, the equipments at performance stage and studio will be set up at the earliest time in order that the Institute can complete well its function of music collection, research and propagation. Therefore, the Institute can develop as equally as other music research centers worldwide.
