A total of 110 contestants from 12 countries took part in this year’s ASEAN International Concerto Competition.
Do Hoang Linh Chi, 12, won first prize in the piano contest. The other top prize winners were violinists, including Ho Hoang Khanh Van, 12, Nguyen Thien Minh, 16, and Tran Quang Duy, 18. Second prize went to violinist Nguyen Linh Yen, 15, and two third prizes went to pianist Nguyen Luong Minh, 12, and violinist Bui Cam Ly, 17.
This is the third time the contest has been held in Jakarta since 2005. The jury is made up of distinguished musicians from around the world who have previously served as jurors in international competitions.
