REGULATIONS ON COMPETITION REPETOIRE

CATEGORY A
From 10 to 13 years old (two rounds)

First Round: 3 works  
1. J.S. Bach: one  piece selected from Inventions and Symphonia 3 (BWV 787-801)
2. Etude: One etude selected  from Czerny op.740; M. Moszkowsky op.72 or  F. Chopin (except No. 3 and 6)  and op. 25 (except  No  7)  
3. One or some Chopin works from 5 to 7 minutes

Final Round:  2 works (12 to 15 minutes)
1. Sonata: First movement or second and third movements in the Sonata  by the following composers: W.A. Mozart; J. Haydn; F. Kuhlau  
2. One or some Chopin works


CATEGORY B: 
From 14 to 17 years old (three rounds) 

First Round: 2 works
1. J.S. Bach: one Prelude - Fuga from 2 volumes of “Well tempered Clavier”
2. Etude: One etude by Chopin in op. 10 (except No.3 and 6)  and op.25 (except No.7)  

Semi-Final Round: 2 works (15 to 20 minutes)
1. Sonata:
- First movement or second and third movements in the sonata by the following composers: W. Mozart;  J. Haydn; L. Beethoven (except No.19 and 20).
- For Beethoven's 4 movement sonatas, candidate can choose to play the movement 1or movements 3+4.
2. One Nocturne F. Chopin

Final Round: 2 works (15 to 20 minutes)
1. F. Chopin: One piece of work of the applicant’s own choice (Scherzo; Ballade; Impromptu)
2. One work by romantic composers or by the composers of the 20th century.


CATEGORY C: 
From 18 to 25 years old: (three rounds)

First Round: 3 pieces (not longer than 20 minutes)
1 .J.S. Bach: one Prelude - Fuga from 2 volumes of  “Well tempered Clavier" 
2. Etude: One etude by Chopin in op. 10 (except No.3 and 6) and op. 25 (except No.7)  
3. One Chopin Nocturne

Semi-Final Round: 2 works (20 to 25 minutes)
1. Choose one work or a group of pieces of 20th century composers: 
B. Bartok, S. Prokofiev, D. Shostakovich , S. Rachmaninoff, A. Scriabin, C. Debussy, M. Ravel, P. Hindemith.
2. Choose a composition of  F. Chopin (appropriate level)

Final Round: Concerto with symphony orchestra  
F. Chopin concerto No.1 or No.2 (three movements)
